| SNL: KTF - Rules |
Kill The Flag (KTF) Rules KTF League Structure: The KTF will start off as a league, each squad will play each other squad once. Once all fixtures have been completed, it will proceed to a Knock-Out stage, where the top 4 or 8 ( depending how many squads enter) will face off in a tournament style knockout. One game, winner moves onto next round untill the champion is crowned. Their will be a final and a 3rd / 4th place decider also. General Rules: The KTF League operates within the AirAttack Club and all rules of that club apply to this league as well. This means you must read understand and follow the Code of Conduct of the AA club. The League operates a policy of one pilot, one squad. This means no "ringers", no multi squad pilots. Squads that are found to be operating such pilots WILL forfeit any match(s) they have played. C/O's it is your responsibility to ensure that all pilots are registered at the CLP showing the name or names that they fly under for your squad. Game Specific: Squadrons will enter a private arena set up for a team game with no other modifications. Each match will be assigned a referee and you must adhere to his/her instructions at all times. Map boundaries, teams will stay within 2 squares out from the main group of runways. Any squad found to have pilots leaving the boundary will be subject to point deductions. ( View Map Limit ) The match will be split into 2 halves, with each halve lasting 20 minutes. Both of which will be played in the same arena. Squads may field up to 6 pilots in one half, and this will include the squad's designated FLAG pilot. Substitutions are allowed at the end of the first half. Squadrons failing to produce any pilots within 10 minutes of the allotted start time of the game will forfeit the said match. Referees can penalize squadrons that cause delays in the match longer than this time. Squads must insure that FLAG tags clearly show they're squad's name, with the FLAG prefix coming first, e.g [FLAG]1WARSHIPS The flag will have an altitude limit of 13k ft or 4km, and must not fly above it. However, any non-flag pilot may exceed this. Only the SU and GB bases are used in the KTF format. Teams will be assigned nationalities as per the Fixture list, with the first squad listed playing as SU for the 1st half and the second squad listed playing as GB. The two teams will then swap around at half time. There will be no countdown and no lining up. When the Referee is ready he/she will call for the CO's to report ready, after which there will be a SCRAMBLE announcement and the game will be on. Teams must not move from the side of the runway (i.e. the arena-spawn positions) until the scramble announcement. Fixtures will not be re-arranged for any reason other than server failure, unless agreed by both C/o's and the LM. Tags: Squads must insure that FLAG tags clearly show they're squad's name, with the FLAG prefix coming first, e.g [FLAG]1WARSHIPS Each squad should have 3-4 flags prepared in case certain pilots do not show up, e.g [FLAG]1WARSHIPS. [FLAG]2WARSHIPS and so on Normal squad tags should be identifiable from one and another. E.G WS 00, WS 000 WS 000 will not be allowed. However [Warships]1, [Warships]2 will be. Scoring: 1 Point for overall win 0 Points for each half 1 Point each for a draw Points are scored by achieving the following - 10 points if the flag kills the opposition's flag 3 points if the flag kills an enemy pilot 5 points each for a flag on flag collision 5 points to the flag for a collision with an opposing non-flag player (The flag will receive the points in this scenario) 1 point for a non-flag player killing the flag -5 points if a flag crashes or down/collides with team mate -10 points if a flag is downed by anti-aircraft No points are deducted for friendly crashes kills or rams on with regular pilots Flag issues: The flag may remain stationary on the runway if in immediate danger otherwise it must take off. Immediate danger is ascertained by the referee looking at the map. If there are enemy planes directly over or around the flags runway this is classed as immediate danger. Any flags found to be 'camping' on they're runway when not in immediate danger will be liable to points deduction. If a flag pilot is dropped during a game, due to lost connection etc, then from the point of disconnection the referee will hold the scores and time, until a replacement flag can be brought on. At this point play will then resume. If the flag pilot originally disconnected, returns mid point in the game then again the referee will hold the scores until the substitution flag has a chance to leave the arena. **IF THE ABOVE OCCURS, THEN ALL PILOTS ARE ASKED TO REMAIN WITHIN 1 MAP SQUARE OF THEY'RE RESPECTIVE BASES, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN POINTS DEDUCTION** NO penalty points will be added for the loss of a connection and disappearance of a flag as it is beyond the player's control. However if teams do not produce a replacement flag quickly or are seen to delay the game then penalty points may be applied. Guest Pilots / Combined Squads: For the SNL and SNL: KTF, we allow pilots to guest for other squads as long as their current squad is not participating. Each pilot will need to be added to the SNL guest group on CLP, this is done by Sal. However, to get on that group, the c/o of the squad must pm or email Madman or Salami with the pilot that is guesting for them. Pilots can only guest for one squad, no switching squad to squad. Squads can combine for the SNL to make numbers up also, e.g Thorn and Evil could combie to make 7 pilots to take part. Times: Games should start between 6pm - 9pm EST which is 11:00pm - 2:00am GMT. How To Ref: If a ref script is not created, we'll have to ref this the old fasioned way. Their are two options, ref this with pen and paper, or use game log. Also make sure you record the match also, just in case any squad has problems with the final scores. Using these methods are easy enough as long as the ref pays attention if using the pen and paper method, and please make sure game log is turned on in options if you wish to review the scores via game log! Any other issues: If there are any complaints regarding the KTF tournament, or a specific match etc then please contact me on LM@thewarships.com. |
